main bedroom project - adding #warmth & #simplicity to a #historicalhome

I've been so excited to finally share this project. It's been a heck of a long time in the making. We started this at the beginning of 2020, right before COVID then things got put on hold. A year is WAY outside the realm of time it takes to design a single bedroom...

But here we are and I'm so glad you're here to share this moment with me.

This couple enlisted my help for their bedroom after some decision burnout. They had decorated the rest of their home and their bedroom was the last (but definitely not least) on the list.

I immediately knew that what this room needed was warmth. It was drab and grey, and didn't feel like the sanctuary that bedrooms should be. I incorporated some of their existing furniture into the design, like the media console, sofa and area rug. We focused on #simpledesign with pops of color and details. This home was built in the 1920's and had some amazing features like huge windows, gorgeous trim, and high ceilings.

Sully buddy made a sweet little appearance in our photos as well...

We spend so much time in our bedrooms -- 8 hours a day on average! Being in a calm, peaceful environment is so important for all aspects of life, but especially sleep. I'm thankful to have been able to help bring this bedroom some life!
